Gina Stoyle Massachusetts South Sectional All-Academic Basketball Team

Congratulations to Gina Stoyle for being named to the Massachusetts South Sectional All-Academic Basketball Team, sponsored by the Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association and the Red Auerbach Youth Foundation. This accomplishment signifies her outstanding accomplishments as being one of the top student-athletes in the state of Massachusetts during the 2012-2013 season.

Attached is photo of Katie McCarthy (green arrow)after Colby-Sawyer's win in league tournament to advance to NCAA Div 3 Tournament.
As a freshman, Katie played in 23 of the team's 28 games and scored 40 points.
Colby-Sawyer unfortunately lost in first round of the tournament to Ithaca College of NY.

Jess Eason

Maybe more renown for her prowess as a weight thrower for the Mansfield High and Brown University track teams, former Hornet Jess Eason has become a two-sport athlete in the Ivy League, the junior being summoned from the track to lend some strength to the front court of Bears' women's basketball team.
Eason became the first female in MHS hoop history to play at the Division I level, having appeared in three games thus far.
Eason had an interesting "how I spent my summer" report, having an internship in marine biology at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.

Girls Basketball Hall of Fame

Mansfield High School inducted its inaugural class for the basketball hall of fame on Friday, November 23rd at the Holiday Inn in Taunton. The Starting Five represent the top basketball players in Mansfield High School history.
From the women's basketball program, the five inductees are:
